As a Business Development Representative, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Be a trusted resource for patients and their families, educating them on their options for home care and linking them to the best services for their needs, whether it's our agency or someone else
- Personally visit and arrange meetings with home care referral sources and prospective clients such as physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities, to grow and increase sales
- Arrange presentations of home care services at staff meetings in hospitals, nursing homes, doctor’s offices, and private companies
- Network with others in the industry to develop additional lead sources
- Track and report all prospecting, account development, referral and sales activity
- Meet with manager weekly to discuss opportunities, referrals status, activity, etc.
- Manage periodic on-call calls with our office team
A few must-haves for Business Development Representatives:
- Minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience, preferably in healthcare services
- Your own personal vehicle and a clean driving record
- Demonstrated knowledge of home care services, referral sources and payors
- Excellent communication skills, goal-driven mentality and ability to work independently
