We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Companion Aide to provide support and companionship to individuals in need of assistance due to age, illness, or disability. **Key Responsibilities:**
- MUST KNOW SIGN LNANGUAGE, PATIENT IS DEAF. (FLUENTLY).
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including but not limited to grooming, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Help clients with mobility assistance, transferring in and out of beds, chairs, and vehicles.
- Plan and facilitate social activities tailored to the client's interests, including outings, hobbies, and recreational activities.
- Monitor and record changes in client health and behavior, reporting any concerns to supervisorial staff or family members.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and medication reminders as needed.
- Foster a safe and comfortable environment, ensuring the client's needs and emotions are prioritized.
- Follow individualized care plans as developed by healthcare professionals and adjust care practices as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as a companion aide, caregiver, or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and their families.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license may be required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
