As a Home Health Aide / Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Provide personal care and support to help seniors maintain independence
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal prep, and light housekeeping
- Offer companionship, transportation, and mobility assistance
- Remind clients to take medications and monitor their well-being
- Ensure a safe and comfortable home environment
A few must-haves for Home Health Aides / Caregivers:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
- Reliable transportation (valid PA driver’s license & auto insurance)
- Valid two-step PPD or a Titer
- Smartphone with the capability to download and use a time clock app
- A compassionate nature, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
