1:1 or Classroom Setting - Lpn Licensed Practical Nurse
Covering needs in the Luzerne County Schools
- Salary up to $32 per hour
- Specialties; Trach/Vent, Feeding Tubes, Diabetes, Seizures, Catheters, Incontinence, Etc.
- Hours Monday through Friday - Day Shift
- Follows District Schedule; work offered over summer months through local summer camps, nursing homes, and in-home.

Essential Functions for the LPN Licensed Practical Nurse:
- Provide Direct Medical Care: Administer Medications, Perform Health Procedures, and Respond to Medical Emergencies for Students with Chronic or Acute Health Needs.
- Develop and Implement Health Plans: Create and Maintain Individualized Health Care Plans (IHPS) and Emergency Action Plans (IEPs) in Collaboration with Educators and Families.
- Monitor Student Health Needs: Track and Assess Students' Physical and Emotional Health, Especially Those with Disabilities or Special Medical Conditions.
- Educate on Health and Hygiene: Teach Students Basic Hygiene, Self-care, and Life Skills Related to Health, Tailored to Developmental and Cognitive Levels.
- Support Special Education Teams: Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) Meetings and Provide Health-related Input for Students' Educational Planning.
- Promote a Safe and Inclusive Environment: Ensure the Classroom Is Safe and Accessible, Train Staff on Health Protocols, and Advocate for Students’ Health-related Needs.
Minimum Requirements for the LPN Licensed Practical Nurse:
- Current Nursing License in the State of Pa
- Minimum One (1) Year Relative Experience; Required
- Cpr Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Willing to Undergo Pre-employment Screenings
