Interim HealthCare of Scranton is hiring School-Based Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support students and school health offices across multiple Lackawanna County school districts. This role offers predictable daytime hours, no weekends, and the chance to make a real impact in local schools.
Job Details and Benefits for the School-Based LPN:
- Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour, paid weekly
- Schedule: Typically 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday (school calendar)
- No evenings, weekends, or holidays
- Summer work available (camps, nursing homes, group homes, etc.)
- Supportive staffing and placements

Responsibilities for the School Based LPN:
- Provide direct nursing care to students
- Administer medications and treatments
- Monitor chronic conditions (diabetes, seizures, mobility needs, etc.)
- Support triage and routine care in the school health office
- Respond to illnesses, injuries, and emergencies
- Communicate with school staff, families, and Interim HealthCare
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
Requirements for the School-Based LPN:
- Active Pennsylvania LPN License
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- PA school clearances (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work independently in a school setting
- Pediatric or school nursing experience helpful but not required
